Senior Data Analyst

Keenan Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of NI Ambulance Service (NIAS) for a Band 6 Senior Data Analyst.

Location: NIAS Headquarters, Knockbracken Healthcare Park, Saintfield Road, BT8

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Contract: 6 months with likely extension

Pay: £19.10 per hour (Band 6)

Job Summary:

The post holder will be responsible for managing the development, production and delivery of complex statistical and qualitative and/or quantitative reports for emergency and non-emergency or corporate activity based information for Executive Directors, Senior Managers and external Health and Social Care Organisations or agencies as required.  He/she will provide specialist knowledge in interpretation and analysis of information and definition of reporting/information requirements and ensure that the methods of information delivery are appropriate, meeting the needs of information users both in terms of information requirements and user technical/strategic capabilities.

The post holder will work as part of team in which each member possesses particular knowledge or skills which they will be encouraged to develop.  

In addition, members of the team will be encouraged to work flexibly so that skills transfer can take place to ensure each staff member has the full understanding and knowledge of systems, processes;  providing individual development opportunities.

Criteria:

A working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office packages specifically the creation and manipulation of Access databases and Excel Pivot tables; knowledge of web based applications.

A degree in Computing, Information Technology, Information Management or related areas of information/statistics management with one year’s experience 

within a discipline relevant to information analysis or statistics which includes an in-depth working knowledge of information production, report writing or inferential statistics.

Or

5 years’ experience and quantifiable experience within a discipline relevant to information analysis or statistics which includes an in-depth working knowledge of information production, report writing or inferential statistics.
